Founded on Feb. 12, 1909, the NAACP is the foremost, largest and most widely recognized civil rights organization in the nation. Its more than half a million members and supporters throughout the United States and the world are premier advocates for civil rights in their communities, conducting voter mobilization and leading grassroots campaigns for equal opportunity.

The Orange County Branch was chartered in 1929, and continues to be a voice for the citizens of Orange County.

The Orange County Branch of the NAACP has created a vision of advocacy and issues based on the Game Changers outlined by the national office. The six NAACP Game Changers address the areas of inequality facing African Americans that are the focus of our work.
