The Florida Puerto Rican Parade, Inc.
Scholarship
The Florida Puerto Rican Parade, Inc. (FLPRP), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization established in 2016 to promote the Puerto Rican community culture, values, heritage, and contributions to the State of Florida.
Scholarship Fund Program
The Scholarships Fund Program Committee was created to identify and provide financial support to students entering or already in college. FLPRP's goal is to offer scholarships to qualified students each year based on financial need, scholastic merit, leadership, achievements, and other factors.
Generous contributors from corporations and businesses, Community Organizations, and individuals help raise scholarship funding to assist students in reaching their educational goals. We look forward to an ever-expanding list of partners that will support this program for many years.
Parade
We host an annual Florida Puerto Rican Parade, Festival, and associated events, all designed to celebrate and showcase the Puerto Rican community's rich culture, heritage, and invaluable contributions to the state of Florida. Our mission is to highlight and proudly acknowledge and appreciate achievements across various fields such as business, health, music, science, sports, arts, and government.
Puerto Ricans from across Florida and neighboring states, friends, and families are encouraged to participate. This gathering is a significant occasion for families from the region and Puerto Rico to celebrate.
Mark your calendars for 2024 on April 27, 2024, when the parade and festival will occur in downtown Orlando, preceded by a week of diverse activities. This year, we pay homage to the Municipality of Juncos, known as "La Ciudad del Valenciano," under the "Civic Engagement and Responsibilities."
Activities include:
- Voter registration.
- Participation in elections.
- Volunteering in community organizations.
- Government involvement.
- Upholding civic duties such as obeying laws and serving on juries.
Join us in embracing and honoring the spirit of civic engagement and responsibility.
